Hull Vane BV provides and develops innovative solutions to improve your vessel’s comfort, performance and seakeeping. Established in 2014, Hull Vane is based in Wageningen, the Netherlands.

 The Hull Vane^® is our patented submerged stern wing designed to reduce a displacement or semi-displacement ship’s resistance and motion in waves. We started developing the Hull Vane^® as a spin-off from research we originally conducted for the America’s Cup. We have installed Hull Vanes on numerous vessels and their effectiveness and durability have been proven time and time again.

 In 2019, we launched an active version in partnership with Naiad Dynamics called the Dynamic Hull Vane^®.

 Our solution for planing vessels, Foil Assist, consists of a wing mounted midships, which improves the ride characteristics and efficiency when sailing through waves at high speeds.
